This is the second time the free childcare scheme has been expanded
You can soon apply for 15 hours of free childcare. If you are a working parent and have a nine-month-old child, you can apply from May 12, ready for the scheme to start in September.
Right now, if you have a three or four year old, you can already get 15 hours of free childcare every week. Some parents might even get 30 hours depending on how much they earn, reports the Mirror. Education Secretary Gillian Keegan shared some good news: "Last year, we committed to delivering the largest ever expansion of childcare that England has ever seen. And with over 150,000 children about to begin accessing a government-funded childcare place in just over two weeks, it's clear our plan is working.
Parents can get up to £500 every three months - or £2,000 a year - for each of your children through the tax-free childcare scheme. For disabled children, the maximum amount you could get rises to £4,000.
