This is so the December bank holidays – on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day – don't affect payments.Which benefits are affected? Christmas Bonus Some of those in receipt of benefits will also be eligible for the government's Christmas Bonus payment.You don't need to apply for it and it won't affect your other benefits.
Household Support Fund The government's Household Support Fund payments are set to continue until the end of March 2026. Depending where you live, it's provided in the form of cash grants, supermarket vouchers or energy bill assistance.
