Ensuring proper food storage is essential to avoid mould and bacteria that can cause serious health issues, as well as to maintain a safe environment for your family.
Melissa Kilcoyne, Business Development Manager at Virtual College, which offers accredited courses on food storage and hygiene, has sounded an alarm over a common fridge item that is prone to mould growth. She further recommended: "Shelves in the door are ideal for this kind of item, but otherwise you should store open condiments at the top of a fridge."

The crevices between tiles can quickly turn brown and mouldy, but there's an effective way to clean them using common household items.
