The Fairhope Police Department said felony warrants have been issued for two women accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from three grocery stores.

Thirty-seven-year Cristina Pantelica and 19-year-old Alondra Badanca allegedly stole a little more than $5,600 worth of items from three Fairhope Publix stores over the weekend, according to Fairhope PD’s Facebook page. The Fairhope investigators identified the two individuals using the internet and collaborating with multiple agencies who are also investigating the theft ring originating from California, according to the post.D’Iberville police arrested them on theft charges

. The two are accused of shoplifting just over $5,000 worth of items from Academy Sports and Outdoors and various Academy Sports stores across the Southeast. According to D’Iberville Police Chief Shannon Nobles, both women were born in Romania and claim residency in Houston, Texas. But Fairhope PD posted on Facebook listed Pantelica as being from Washington and Badanca from Texas.A Mississippi judge gave each woman a $100,000 bond on the shoplifting charges.
