Tonight, FOX10 News is looking into a disturbing incident involving a Fairhope woman who is accused of pretending to be a police officer.
) - The alleged victim, who wants to remain anonymous, told FOX10 News, Catherine Findley followed her for several miles, attempting to get her to pull over.
She told me her fiancé and her baby were also in the car, and she eventually pulled into a parking lot, where Findley blocked them in. “It was almost like she believed we had kidnapped a child,” said the victim. “She kept banging and screaming at our car trying to bust our rear-view window, our passenger window and driver window.”“I was just worried that glass would hit my baby, or something would happen to my child,” she said.
Court documents reveal Findley held up a makeup case, claiming it was her badge, and identified herself as an officer of the law.Witnesses were able to provide her license plate number, which led investigators directly to her home.Findley has since been released on a $5,000 bond and police said they have not had any prior contact with her.
