Fanta has launched three new zero sugar flavors in the UK, including Apple, Raspberry, and a limited-edition Tutti Frutti. While some are excited about the new additions, the apple flavor has received a lot of criticism online.
Fizzy drink enthusiasts rejoice! Fanta has just launched three brand new flavors in the UK, expanding its already popular lineup. Shoppers can now grab their hands on Fanta Apple Zero Sugar , Fanta Raspberry Zero Sugar , and a limited-edition Fanta Tutti Frutti Zero Sugar . The latter, described as a 'tropical twist', blends banana, peach, and pineapple for a unique tutti frutti taste.
While the banana flavor might seem unconventional, it's the apple variety that has sparked the most debate online.Social media users were quick to share their thoughts on the apple drink, with many expressing their disapproval. Comments on the Food Finds UK Official Page ranged from 'rotten' and 'gross' to 'poison,' painting a rather unappealing picture of the new apple flavor. Some even lamented the shift towards zero sugar options, deeming them 'trash' and 'pure poison,' preferring the traditional sugary versions. However, amidst the criticism, there were also a few voices of support. Emma Harry expressed her excitement for the raspberry flavor, reminiscing about its previous availability a few years ago. Meena Hoque, on the other hand, was intrigued by the tropical notes of the limited-edition Tutti Frutti. The release of these new flavors follows the launch of an improved Fanta Orange Zero Sugar in 2024, coupled with a collaboration with Warner Bros for the Beetlejuice-themed promotions. Hanna Lauri, Fanta Brand Manager at The Coca-Cola Company, stated, 'We're so excited to bring even more variety to people with three new vibrant additions to the Fanta family.' She emphasized the brand's commitment to offering 'fun, fruity twists that cater to people’s evolving tastes.'The Fanta Apple Zero Sugar and Fanta Raspberry Zero Sugar are readily available in major UK supermarkets, sold in eight-packs of cans, as well as 500ml and 2L bottles. The limited-edition Fanta Tutti Frutti Zero Sugar will hit shelves in mid-March, but only in a 250ml can. This launch comes hot on the heels of Pepsi unveiling two new flavors of Pepsi Max in the UK - Strawberries and Cream and Cream Soda - available exclusively at Tesco stores. These limited-edition drinks will only be on shelves until March 19th
