A 34-year-old Tacoma man was killed in a six-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 5 in Tacoma. The collision caused a five-hour traffic jam near 47th Avenue and Bridgeport Way Southwest. Two drivers were injured and taken to the hospital. The driver responsible for the crash may face charges.
A 34-year-old Tacoma man was killed in a six-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 5 on March 19, 2024. The collision, which happened at 5:16 p.m., snarled traffic for five hours near 47th Avenue and Bridgeport Way Southwest, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation and the Washington State Patrol.
In addition to the fatality, two drivers were injured and taken to Tacoma General Hospital. The driver who caused the crash, a 43-year-old Kent man, will possibly face charges.
