An overseas Filipino worker(OFW) in Dubai became an instant millionaire after winning the lottery last Jan. 14.
According to a report from Khaleej Times, Russel Tuason, a store manager, took home a whopping AED 15,000,000, or P224 million after winning in the Emirates Draw’s Easy 6.“The number 15 is extremely lucky for me. It feels overwhelming, and I am still in shock,” Reyes told the Khaleej Times.
“I purchased the ticket online on the day of the drawing. The time was 7:22 a.m. And the winning call came at 12:45 a.m. on January 14. I couldn’t sleep the whole night because I was shaking,” he added. Reyes said his family can’t even believe that he won the lottery, especially since it’s his first time trying.
“I hugged my brother and declared victory. And he thought I was joking because it was my first try, but he is happy for me.” Reyes’ lucky numbers were a combination of his birthday, age, and his son, sister, and mother’s birthday.
