Square Enix has announced that players on Xbox Series X|S can kick off 2024 by joining the Final Fantasy XIV open beta in January.
Here is some welcome news for those of you looking forward to diving into the world of Hydaelyn on Xbox: the Final Fantasy XIV open beta will be available for all players on Xbox Series X|S in January. Square Enix announced the exciting news via a post on X to coincide with the Final Fantasy Fan Festival, which took place in London this past weekend. The beta will run from mid-January to February, but exact dates are yet to be revealed.
Although Final Fantasy XIV is a numbered entry into the series, it's a standalone story, so you don't need to have any knowledge of the series to hop in and play. With your very own Warrior of Light, Final Fantasy XIV offers you many adventures to embark on, from heaps of quest, monstrous encounters, and boss battles, to mini-games, crafting, house buying, relaxing mahjong, and more.
