Fire breaks out in Dundee city centre as police seal off area

Emergency services raced to the City Square after the alarm was raised on Sunday night.

Police sealed off the area as fire crews battled the blaze.

Pictures posted on social media showed officers and firefighters at the scene. It is understood the blaze took place in a local coffee shop.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police and Fire Service are currently in attendance at City Square, Dundee in relation to a fire."There is no apparent risk to the public but please do not attend in the area."READ NEXT:
