The two-part event, FireAid, is in response to the devastating wildfires that erupted on January 7th, claiming at least 27 lives and scorching 2,400 acres. FireAid will be held in two locations on Thursday, January 30th, in Inglewood, California. The Kia Forum will host the first concert, starting at 6pm local time, while the Intuit Dome will host the second concert, kicking off at 7.30pm local time. Due to the time difference, the concerts will be broadcast in the UK at 2am and 3.30am on Friday, January 31st, respectively.A star-studded lineup of 27 artists has been confirmed for the two events. The Kia Forum concert will feature performances by Alanis Morissette, Anderson .Paak, Dawes, Dave Matthews and John Mayer, Graham Nash, Green Day, John Fogerty, Joni Mitchell, No Doubt, Pink, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks, and The Black Crowes. The Intuit Dome concert boasts performances by Billie Eilish and Finneas, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Jelly Roll, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, Olivia Rodrigo, Peso Pluma, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, Sting, and Tate McRae.Tickets for both concerts will go on sale at 8pm UK time tonight (12pm PST) via Ticketmaster, with prices starting at $99 (£80.20) per ticket. Organizers advise fans to join the virtual queue on Ticketmaster 30 minutes before the sale begins. Importantly, each ticket is only valid for the specific venue chosen, not both concerts. However, attendees of the earlier Kia Forum show will be allowed to remain at the venue to watch the later Intuit Dome concert on screens, and vice versa. Doors for both events will open at 5pm.Best of all, FireAid will be widely available on most major streaming platforms, including YouTube, Apple Music, Apple TV+, Netflix, Paramount+, Prime Video, the Amazon Music Channel on Twitch, and Spotify. All proceeds from FireAid will be directed to short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives aimed at preventing future fire disasters throughout Southern California. The Annenberg Foundation will manage all donations, according to the FireAid website.
