Ian Price was killed outside his home while going to visit his mother, who lived across the street.
A man who died after being mauled by two dogs near a school has been named. Ian Price tragically died after being attacked by what is believed to have been XL Bullys in an incident that saw a school put on lockdown.
Police prevented children from leaving a nearby school for safety reasons. Children at the nearby St Peter's Primary Academy were held for a number of hours, The Mirror reports. The dad-of-two ran a cabinet repair business from his home, close to the spot where he was mauled. His wife Heather, 50, is a teaching assistant at the village primary school.
"He was only in his boxers. Some other neighbours were using wheelie bins to keep the dogs away from him. He was in a terrible state." He has tasked experts to define the breed of dogs behind a recent spate of attacks this week with a "view to then outlaw them" and ban the breed under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
Unfortunately, after arrival at hospital, despite the best efforts it became clear that nothing more could be done to save him he was confirmed deceased.”
