BREAKING: First picture of woman, 52, whose burnt body was found dumped in layby
A woman whose body was set on fire and dumped in a layby has been pictured for the first time.Officers had been called to reports of ‘suspicious activity’ on Bridgnorth Road in the early hours of the morning.
The victim had significant burn marks on her body and it was clear she had been set alight, police said.It’s believed she was driven to the site before being set on fire.Anyone who knew Jomaa has been urged to come forward as they may have valuable information that could push forward the investigation.
Detective Superintendent Tom Chisholm, of Staffordshire Police, said: ‘We’ve had a tremendous response from the public but, again, I must stress, this is the early stages of a major investigation and we are pursuing many lines of enquiry.Bridgnorth Road in Perton was closed as police investigated the scene on Monday ‘We need to understand Jomaa’s movements prior to her death and want to hear from anyone who knew her or has seen her over the last few months.
