There's no shortage of options for a cosy drink
The weather outside is definitely frightful in the past few weeks which has made leaving the comfort of our homes a bit harder. Not to mention summing the willpower to get changed out of warm Pjs and hoodies into something more social gathering friendly.
But how to know where to go with so many pubs on offer? We've made a list of a few of the best to get you started.The John Borlaise is a bit outside of the city centre but it's worth a trek up Derby Road to get to the top. The pub has a real fire where you can keep warm and plenty of cosy spots to curl up in to enjoy a good pint.
The venue also has a full menu of classic pub dishes such as burgers, fish and chips but they have recently launched a new festive menu. You can expect pulled turkey with ham hock pie, beetroot tarte tartin or pigs in blankets and rarebit burger all followed by a spot of Christmas pudding.The Punchbowl has a wonderful selection of food and drinks but it's a great location if you just want to unwind in front of the fire.
