A high school, a construction site and a small park are among five new locations in Sydney that have been contaminated with asbestos.

Environment Protection Authority said in an update today that the fenced-off Wood Street Lands at Forest Lodge in the inner city has tested positive for friable asbestos.'Leave now': Residents urged to evacuate as giant blaze threatens homes

A construction site in Glenmore Park, which is inaccessible to the public and fenced off, is also among the results.The school in Cranebrook remains open.The latest results brings the city's total number of positive results to 59. Meanwhile, the positive test results at Cranebrook High School and Mont St Quentin Oval in Bardia are believed to be in mulch from a second supplier.

"The EPA is still following up many lines of enquiry including the mulch supply chain and the potential presence of legacy asbestos at some sites.""Land managers are responsible for managing the clean-up and disposal of mulch, with guidance from the EPA and other agencies.
