Ayrshire Live have compiled a list of where families can enjoy some seasonal fun this autumn.
That fresh, crisp, autumnal breeze is officially in the air and that can only mean one activity is on our minds...pumpkin picking.
Visitors will be able to source homegrown pumpkins to carve and transform into jack-o-lanterns for display at their front steps, or to use in tasty recipes including soups, stews, pies and muffins.Warning - hot chocolates and welly boots are strongly recommended for the below:Dowhill Farm’s renowned pumpkin picking returns this October, complete with a maize maze, barrel rides, marshmallow toasting and more.
Hannahston Alpacas said: “Come and take a walk through the farm with our wonderful alpacas down to our pumpkin patch where you will get to pick your own pumpkin then carve it while enjoying a hot drink.Heads of Ayr Farm Park’s Pumpkin Patch returns from October 14 until 22 from 10am until 5pm. On the bill is a ‘Pumpkin Patch Adventure’- which will see visitors collect a treasure trail sheet and embark on a journey through Geilsland Grounds to find the pumpkin patch- ‘Spooky Arts and Crafts’, including decorating mini pumpkins, a music station, and pumpkin-themed photo booth.The Manor House, Seamill, is back with a new and improved outing this year to have families yee-hawing into the evening.
