Flood alerts remain in place for parts of Nottinghamshire as the Met Office continues to warn of disruption from heavy rain. The weather agency has issued a yellow weather warning for rain across Nottinghamshire , lasting from 6am today until 9am tomorrow.
The Environment Agency has also issued flood alerts for parts of the county. The agency issues three types of flood warning, with a flood alert meaning that flooding is possible and that people should prepare. There are then flood warnings, when flooding is expected, and severe flood warnings when flooding could cause a risk to life and significant disruption to communities. There are no flood warnings or severe flood warnings for Nottinghamshire, but two flood alerts are in place.
