One man's submission of his rice and beans creation to the Rate My Plate group on Facebook was met with less than enthusiastic feedback from some – but others argued they liked it
A man's unappetising meal invention has left food enthusiasts aghast as he presented his peculiar combination of baked beans.
Posted on social media, the offbeat fusion faced a barrage of mockeries from the Internet community, with only a small number confessing their willingness to try out the bean-rice mix. Kye W's submission of his rice and beans creation to the Rate My Plate group on Facebook was met with less than enthusiastic feedback.
One commented: "Did you know that beans and rice eaten together provides all 9 essential amino acids, making this meal a complete protein source? That is the only good thing about this meal in my opinion." Others say the dish was somewhat nostalgic and reminded them of simpler times for cooking. "This brings back memories of school dinners in the 80s during my short-lived vegetarian phase "
