The Foreign Office has warned families who are going away to make sure they get travel insurance – or it could cost them
Many of us could do with getting away for some October sun. Jetting to a tropical country – or at least somewhere that doesn't require an electric blanket and thermal socks at all hours of the day.But before jetting off, the UK Foreign Office has issued a reminder.
It can help you with all sorts of issues you may experience ranging from medical emergencies, lost luggage, flight cancellations all the way to natural disasters. You must also make sure you declare any medical conditions you have or it could make your plan invalid.Get travel insurance that covers all your planned activities.— FCDO Travel Advice October 16, 2024
While you won't need it for medical problems, as the NHS will still be available, it can still come in handy for things like lost or stolen items or with cancellation for accommodation.
