Dr. Procopio will discuss the challenges of pinpointing time of death, considering factors like body condition and environmental temperature, and highlight how minute details like DNA, proteins, and microbes can provide crucial insights in solving crimes.

Sometimes we’re dealing with just parts of a skeleton, and other times it’s a full body, but very cold or very hot temperatures can affect how quickly skin and muscle is broken down.
