Since swapping the sliotar for the stage, Brendan has performed all over the world including at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas
A former Antrim hurler who swapped sport for the stage is set to play Electric Picnic later this month.
Joining them on the lineup will be former Antrim hurler Brendán Quinn who will be playing alongside fellow West Belfast musician Francis McIlduff and Castlewellan native Ciara Maguire. "We have a nice slot in An Puball Gaeilge which is the big Irish tent at the festival. We had been contacted to see if we would be interested in doing a slot at the festival and were offered the chance to do some of my original songs alongside a Trad set and some songs as Gaeilge.
"From there, we decided to get things together, put some of my original stuff into it and keep a sort of mixture between that and Ciara's trad tunes to mix it up."
