A former assistant district attorney for Lancaster County is facing charges following a hit-and-run crash.
Assistant District Attorney Christine Wilson resigned from her position on May 24 — just days after the crash happened on May 17.
Police have charged Wilson with one misdemeanor count of Accident Involving Damage to an Attended Vehicle, along with a summary stop sign violation. "The case was immediately referred to the Attorney General’s Office due to the conflict of interest with the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office and Wilson was placed on administrative leave prior to her resignation," according to a news release from the Lancaster County District
According to charging documents, Wilson failed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign at N. Water and W. Walnut Streets, and she allegedly struck a Hyundai Accent. Wilson didn't stop to exchange information with the other driver before leaving the scene, according to a report from Lancaster City Police."Wilson was a supervisor overseeing the Grand Jury and the Cold Case Unit. Pending cases have been reassigned to other attorneys in the office and any managerial duties will be covered by other supervisors," the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office said in the news release.
