Published: May. 7, 2024 at 4:12 PM EDTGARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -A former Garfield Heights Middle School assistant principal plead guilty to assault Monday morning inside a Cuyahoga County courtroom.“She put her arm around his neck and it was a choking incident,” said Robbin Ballard.The two were not fighting, just using their words. Komora stepped in and grabbed Ro’Shon up in a chokehold.
Komora was put on paid administrative leave while the district carried out its investigation. She was indicted on two counts of strangulation and one count of assault. She took a plea deal. The strangulation charges were dropped.“She was sorry for what she did. I do believe that from my heart, so we chose to forgive,” said Ballard.
