The court challenge comes after the former NSW premier was found to have engaged in 'serious corrupt conduct'.
has formerly launched a legal challenge to overturn the finding by the Independent Commission Against Corruption that she engaged in "serious corrupt conduct".
In June this year, the anti-corruption watchdog handed down its findings, more than two years after Berejiklian first gave evidence to the ICAC admitting she was in a secret relationship with former Wagga Wagga Liberal MP Daryl Maguire.Former NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian.The matter has been listed to come before the court in Sydney on October 9.
The ICAC found Berejiklian approved the grants without disclosing her close personal relationship with Maguire, when she had a conflict of interest between her public duty and her private love interest. The commission also found Berejiklian engaged in serious corrupt conduct by failing to notify the ICAC of her suspicion that Maguire had engaged in activities which could have been corrupt.
Despite the serious nature of the corruption offences, the commission did not recommend that Berejiklian be prosecuted for any of them.
