The man, 68, faced Wagga Wagga Local Court yesterday on 12 charges including seven counts of sexual assault.
Police will allege he assaulted three boys aged between nine and 12 while they were under his authority "as a teacher at the school and during camping trips".The man was arrested on Wednesday in Wagga Wagga, more than six months after Kuring Gai officers launched an investigation into "multiple sexual assaults which are alleged to have occurred at a public school in St Ives between 1984-1988".
His other charges are three counts of homosexual intercourse – teacher of pupil, and two counts of buggery. In a statement released last night, police said he was formally refused bail and would face the same court again on April 26.
