Billionaire Andrew Forrest and his family have purchased the brand new Waldorf Astoria hotel on a prime spot in Sydney’s Circular Quay.

Iron ore billionaire Andrew Forrest and his wife Nicola have added to their burgeoning portfolio of side hustles with the acquisition for about $520 million of Australia’s first Waldorf Astoria Hotel on prime Sydney waterfront real estate at Circular Quay.

The 25-level Waldorf Astoria Sydney will sit alongside a 59-level residential tower in the One Circular Quay development at the corner of Sydney’s Circular Quay. to develop the $3.1 billion project. This month Lendlease said 158 luxury apartments in the residential tower designed by late Australian architect Kerry Hill were 30 per cent presold by value and 42 per cent by number.
