It is hoped the new stop will welcome passengers from late 2027
Fresh details have been revealed about plans to deliver a new £100m rail station at the Baltic Triangle . It was confirmed earlier this month how two years after it was first announced, Liverpool City Region Combined Authority had formally submitted a planning application for the reimagining of the site that had lay dormant for years.
” The document added: “By integrating public transport with improved public realm spaces, and wider highways works, the proposed development represents a pivotal step towards creating a vibrant, interconnected urban environment that serves the needs of the community and elevates the civic identity of the local area at a key gateway location to the city centre.” It is expected the project could handle 17,000 trips a day on an average weekday.
