'If you'd have told me this in January, I would have laughed in your face'
A band's incredible year has resulted in them being given an 'incredible' chance. On last Friday , The Courtyard Liverpool hosted the final round of the Jacaranda Baltic’s ‘Battle of the Bands’. The event saw four local bands - Amber, The Kites, Arid State, and Strider - compete to win a £2,000 cash prize, a professional recording session, and a slot on an upcoming Jacaranda Records show.
Archie said: “This is huge for us, we think it's great of Jacaranda to support up and coming musicians in this way, it’s an incredible chance to diversify Liverpool’s music scene.” After forming earlier this year, the band released their debut single 'Say Your Prayers' on June 7, and have since received over 10,000 streams on Spotify, on top of a cohort of listeners.
