ROYAL names are surging in popularity with hundreds of parents giving their children a regal moniker.
The list of the top 50 boys and girls' names contains some familiar titles as people opt for more traditional names.Making the top ten for girls is Charlotte, the name of Prince William and Kate Middleton's daughter.The next most popular royal girl's name is Elizabeth, which comes in at 35. Boys' names fared better, with Henry - Prince Harry's real name - just falling outside the top 10 in 11th place.Next most popular is Louis, one of the most recent additions to the royal family, in 22nd place.And Harry comes in at 35th, with William trailing behind at 44th.Neither Kate or Meghan, or the spelling Megan, made the top 50
Other popular choices also failed to make the cut, with Beatrice ranked 56th, Kate 138th, Diana 257th, and Megan in 472nd place.The naming website charts the popularity of names in real time, with the experts at Nameberry saying: "Nameberry’s own list of popular baby names is updated monthly and measures in real time which names are attracting the most attention among our visitors.
