The Met Office has reported an up and down few weeks when it comes to the weather, it's mostly rain with some dry spells - it looks like Scotland will avoid the worst of the thunderstorms though
Just days after flash floods wreaked havoc in a Scots town, the Met Office is reporting that the rain isn't set to slow any time soon. It comes following yellow weather warnings across the UK have seen the country battered with rain.
From Saturday, May 18 to Monday, May 27, showers will be developing day by day across the UK through the end of the week and over the weekend. Dumfries, Galloway, Lothian & Borders Cloudy with further outbreaks of rain, heavier at times over Dumfries and Galloway. Drier towards the East coast where patches of haar will linger all day. Maximum temperature 17C.
Between Thursday to Saturday, it will be a mainly dry few days with some sunshine but a few heavy showers are likely on Thursday and Friday afternoons. Warm away from east coast.
