After a rainy couple of days, drier but colder conditions are expected
Forecasters predict it will feel chilly in Greater Manchester this weekend as the rain makes way for drier conditions.
Today , sunny intervals are forecast in our region amid some strong wind gusts through the late morning and into the early afternoon. Temperatures will reach a high of around 13C at around 3pm though forecasters predict it will feel more like 10C.Overnight into Saturday the mercury will plummet to lows of 4C before another chilly day on Saturday. Largely dry conditions are forecast, though there is the possibility of a light shower on Saturday afternoon.
The chilly conditions come after a period of heavy rain across much of the UK over recent days. A yellow Met Office rain warning for much of England and Wales will remain in force until 9am today, while an amber warning was lifted at 6am.
