We might have waited a while for summer to arrive this year, but now it's finally here, you need to protect your plants from the sun. As temperatures warm up, there are a few things you can do to keep your garden looking tip top in the summer months.

Add mulch after planting In hot weather, adding a thick layer of mulch to the top of the soil has many benefits for your summer plants.
Use natural fertilisers to target root heath in summer months Plants won't grow well without nutrient-rich soil, so Hannah always recommends using fertilisers over the summer months. Shield container plants from direct sunlight If you have plants in moveable containers or hanging baskets, put them in shaded areas when it gets really sunny.
