A gardening hack has gone viral on TikTok, instructing people how to ensure their plants grow 'luxuriantly' this summer using a simple fertiliser concoction made from regular household ingredients
It's that delightful time of year when an outdoor space comes into its own, with flowers in full bloom and looking splendid.
While plants and flowers infuse life into gardens, it can be costly to ensure they flourish. But fear not, because there is a viral gardening hack that allows you to get your plants growing "luxuriantly" without breaking the bank. First, they instruct you to get egg shells and "crush them in a container". Then, you need 50ml of white vinegar to add to the jar. The final part of the three-ingredient concoction is 500ml of water, and then you should "let it stand for three days". When the three days are up, "filter out the water".
Numerous comments praised the suggestion as a "good tip". Others shared their gardening own hacks, with one user stating: "I put crushed egg shells right into the dirt with coffee grinds. Works amazing."
