Gareth Ainsworth has revealed Morgan Feeney is 'up and about' about suffering a serious neck injury in Shrewsbury's loss at Stockport on Tuesday night. The 25-year-old, who joined Salop in 2023 after leaving Carlisle, was involved in a nasty collision in the Town penalty area at Edgeley Park.
Shrewsbury tweeted on Wednesday morning to say Feeney had been given a 'clean bill of health' and discharged. "I think it was just one of those moments where, if you watch the slow-motion footage, it's horrible. He really gets an extension of his neck there that you shouldn't naturally be able to do. "Once that happens, you've got to get him on a spinal board and go total precaution. Again, I've got to reiterate that we cannot thank the medical teams enough. Both my medical team and the team at Stockport, the doctors, the ambulance people, they've acted superbly well.
