Gavin Robinson has the full support of the Democratic Unionist Party as its interim leader, the MP for Upper Bann has said.
Carla Lockhart also said it was important not to jeopardise the justice process surrounding Sir Jeffrey Donaldson.
The former party leader faces charges of rape and other historical sexual offences, which he has said he will strenuously contest.
