'Today marks the first step in their future journey'
Education Minister Paul Givan this morning congratulated students across Northern Ireland who got their GCSE results. The latest grades highlight a further fall in the number of pupils who have attained a grade C/4 and above since 2020.
He visited pupils at Dromore High School in Co Down on Thursday morning as they got their results. The Minister added: "Congratulations to all the young people who received their GCSE results today. They have all worked incredibly hard and this has been reflected in the grades they have deservedly achieved.
Alliance education spokesperson and Stormont education committee chair, Nick Mathison, has praised pupils across for their results, adding: "Completing your GCSEs is a massive accomplishment and you should be very proud.
