There are 18 Westminister seats up for grabs in Northern Ireland - with key results expected in Lagan Valley, East Belfast and Fermanagh and South Tyrone

Northern Ireland voters will take to the polls today to cast their votes in the UK General Election. Polls opened at 7am on July 4 and will close at 10pm.

There have been substantial boundary changes at this election and this means there is considerable uncertainty around some of the timings below. Unless otherwise stated, all timings are for Friday, July 5The following facilities are available at polling stations to assist voters with disabilities:a device with Braille to help voters mark their ballot paperIf you want to use any of these items, please tell the staff at the polling station when they give you your ballot paper.

The last option - the Electoral Identity Card - is solely for electors who have not got one of the other means of photographic voter identification.Polling stations are now open and will remain open until 10pm. Voters must remember to bring a correct form of photographic ID to polling stations.
