Tottenham Hotspur U21 captain George Abbott sees himself fitting in well at Notts County after signing on a season-long loan deal. The 19-year-old midfielder Abbott led Spurs to the Premier League 2 title last season - producing a goal and two assists across the semi-final and final of their subsequent play-off triumph.
and Notts are pleased they have been chosen to be his next destination.Notts’ transfer lead Richard Montague said: “We’re really excited to welcome a young player of George’s calibre. He’s incredibly well thought of at Spurs, as reflected by their decision to give him a new three-year deal this summer.
“He gives us real strength in depth in several areas and, as well as tremendous quality in possession, he brings athleticism and a determination to succeed in his first full season in men’s football. We’re really pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to his development and have every confidence he will make a big impact in his time with us.”
The new Tottenham loanee added: “ a similar way to how I’ve played at Tottenham so there shouldn’t be too many big changes for me personally and I think I will fit in quite nicely for that reason.
