A young girl has been injured in a car crash on a Queensland highway that left what appear to be a gun and bullet casing strewn on the road. A man in his 30s suffered minor injuries when the Toyota ute rolled on the Warrego Hwy near Oakey about 9pm on Thursday, according to police. He was taken to Toowoomba Hospital. A police statement to 7 NEWS .com.au did not confirm a Toowoomba Chronicle report that a four-year-old girl was also in the car when it crashed.
However the Queensland Ambulance Service said a female child was hospitalised in a stable condition. Both she and the man were suffering bruising and abrasions, according to QAS. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the crash. Officers are yet to interview the man but have launched an investigation into the crash.
