A Glasgow charity will provide parents living in poverty with supermarket vouchers, so they can Give The Gift of Christmas to children who need festive cheer most this year - can you help?
Glasgow Live have teamed up with Radisson RED, along with singer Callum Beattie, to help make Christmas for children who would otherwise wake up to nothing.
“How are kids going to bed and waking up hungry, cold, sad? I don’t know how anyone could see this and not want to help. "Callum, Dave and I are also looking at an event together to try to do a little something extra special for some of the children – watch this space.” The charity have been helping Glaswegians for 150 years, working through referrers to assist those most in need.Elaine Sergeant of Glasgow Care Foundation said: “Christmas is a time for joy and making magical memories, but the reality is a lot of Glasgow families will not be able to do that this year. Three in 10 kids in our city live in relative poverty which is a horrible thought at any time of year.
