The piece has been vandalised after it was spotted yesterday
Glasgow street art, which many believe was created by the elusive Banksy, has been painted over just one day after it was spotted.
The iconic artist opened his solo exhibition, 'Cut and Run', at Glasgow's Gallery of Modern Art last week and mere yards away a Banksy-like piece appeared overnight. The new piece displays a rat playing a broken drum with 'God Save the King' written across, wearing a sash and a Union Jack hat caught in a trap and shows a rolled up copy of The Sun newspaper. However, this morning onlookers were shocked to see that the artwork had been scrawled across in blue spray paint.
It remains unclear whether the piece is indeed an official Banksy, as wall paintings are not verified by the artist's website, Pest Control.
