Craig McInally deliberately targeted people who were vulnerable and met victims on a website for people who were contemplating ending their lives.

Police have welcomed the sentencing of a man who offered to help a vulnerable student commit suicide.

The 31-year-old from Ibrox deliberately targeted people who were vulnerable and met the 25-year-old on a website for people who were contemplating ending their lives. The woman, living in Glasgow at the time, visited McInally’s flat in late 2019 where he tried to 'assist' in her suicide.McInally was also given an Order for Lifelong Restriction , which means that if he is ever released he will be subject to conditions and monitoring for the rest of his life.

“The 31-year-old targeted women at their lowest point and encouraged them to end their lives for his own gratification, even going so far as to try and assist. “I would strongly urge anyone who is concerned that a loved one is at risk from someone like McInally to contact their local police force.
