We all like to think of Glasgow and Edinburgh as being two very different cities, but put them both side-by-side and it's not always blatantly obvious which is which.
Despite being just 40 miles apart, Glasgow and Edinburgh are like chalk and cheese - or so it's often said.
On an architectural level, we've been led to believe that the capital is historic and picturesque, while Glasgow has a reputation for more modern architecture.East coast folk are a bit snobby they say, Glasgow's people are more down to earth. The Dear Green Place is a football city, whereas Edina is more famous for its rugby. One likes its chippy sauce, the other has common sense.
