A Glasgow school has unveiled a touching tribute ahead of Remembrance Sunday as they offer their respects to more than 177 former pupils whose lives were lost during the First and Second World Wars.

A Glasgow school has created a touching tribute on Remembrance Day as they pay their respects to more than 177 former pupils who lost their lives during the First and Second World Wars.

The historic school building was lit up in red as silhouettes of soldiers and poppies covered the brick walls. The whole school community were involved in creating the visual mark of respect, with the academy being one of the several locations across the country "Lighting Up Red" ahead of Saturday, November 11.

Dan Wyatt, Rector of Kelvinside Academy, said: “Many former Kelvinside pupils fought and died during WWI and WWII. We are fortunate to have the commitment, creativity, knowledge and passion within our school to create such a unique and fitting tribute.
