King Pins is set to open in the Glasgow shopping centre, offering bowling as well as other 'competitive socialising' options like crazy pool and batting cages.

Bowling alley plans at Silverburn which will see £2.5m invested have received a boost after a booze licence was granted.

Glasgow’s licensing board granted a provisional premises licence to the venue at a meeting on Friday. A representative for Pins Leisure Ltd said £2.5m would be invested in the fit-out of the unit at Silverburn while 10 full-time and 30 part-time jobs are set to be created. Eurofund Group, an international real estate firm and one of the owners of Silverburn, previously announced plans to add a King Pins to the shopping centre.
