A Glasgow support worker has pushed himself to the limit and fought in a boxing ring in a bid to raise money for a charity that helped his sister during her battle with breast cancer.

Support worker Kevin McCreadie pushed himself to the limit and fought in a boxing ring to raise money for Breast Cancer Now who supported his sister during her battle with cancer.

And after eight weeks of free training, he stepped into the ring during a showcase event at Glasgow’s Normandy Hotel to show off his skills before hundreds of spectators – raising more than £300 for Breast Cancer Now. “She’s doing well and is back at work. She’s been my inspiration – it's because of Belinda that I decided to do the boxing again.”

“She was able to come along and support me on the night along with our parents and my partner Alison. It was a great evening. I was nervous of course but I was up first and won my fight in the second round.”
