Christopher Atherton has become a regular feature in Stephen McDonnell's team this season
Stephen McDonnell admits he expects Glenavon to lose "scary" teenage talent Christopher Atherton at the end of this season.
Atherton - who is still only 15 - is one of several teenagers getting their chance at Glenavon, and has already featured in five games for McDonnell's first team this season. "Even when the game was in the melting pot last weekend, he was our second substitute with 25 minutes to play, coming on in front of players who would probably be the obvious choice in spectators' eyes. But Chris is an unbelievable talent and we are enjoying working with him.
"We also gave young Ben Wilson his debut away to Crusaders and he featured in the cup games against Newington and Portadown. He is years ahead of himself.
