Joe Pryce saw his side crash out in the final knocking of extra-time
Ten-man Rutherglen Glencairn bowed out of the South Challenge Cup first round with a last-gasp 2-1 defeat at Premier League side Shotts on Saturday.
Glencairn boss Joe Pryce was disappointed to crash out of the competition, but says they gave it a good go against top-flight opponents. “You’re going to have to defend lots of balls being pumped into your box, with free kicks and long throws, which we did.” “Towards the end of the second period of extra-time we threw Ryan McManus on, so we went three up top, even with 10 men, to try and win the game and get ourselves through. But we lost out to a wee deflection at the end.
