Good Morning Britain was pulled off air this morning as host Kate Garraway apologised for the interruption after the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak issued an apology
Kate Garraway, host of ITV Good Morning Britain, broke standard protocol to bring viewers a breaking news update. The ITV breakfast show was thrown into unplanned action after returning from an ad break due to a significant announcement that the Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, had issued an apology.
The Express reports that this comes after the Tory party leader abruptly departed a Normandy event on Thursday. Many soldiers and veterans gathered to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the iconic day, and King Charles was also in attendance. She added: "In the interview, he dismissed Keir Starmer's accusation that he lied about Labour plans to elevate taxes by £2,000 during their televised leader debate earlier in the week.", reports the Daily Record.
"This anniversary should be about those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The last thing I want is for the commemorations to be overshadowed by politics."
