The 'disruptive passenger' was escorted off the plane
A man who was arrested for an 'assault on an easyJet plane at Manchester Airport has since been released on bail, police have confirmed.
Officers boarded the flight from Paris as it sat on the runway at Manchester at around 7.35pm on Tuesday . Cabin crew had alerted them over a 'disruptive passenger'. A man was seen being led away before other passengers were able to disembark. Greater Manchester Police confirmed a 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault.In an update issued this morning, a GMP spokesperson confirmed he had since been bailed. After the incident on Tuesday, an easyJet spokesperson said: “We can confirm that flight EJU4645 from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Manchester was met by police on arrival due to a passenger behaving disruptively onboard.
"easyJet’s cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time.
